  The RSPB works to secure a healthy environment for birds and wildlife, helping to create a better world for us all. Bird populations reflect the health of the planet on which our future depends. The need for an effective bird conservation organisation has never been greater. Climate change, agricultural intensification, expansion of urban areas and transport infrastructure, and over-exploitation of our seas all pose major threats to birds.

• Scottish Wildlife Trust

  

  Scottish Wildlife Trust’s objective is to “advance the conservation of Scotland’s biodiversity for the benefit of present and future generations.” The main activities focus on: managing 123 wildlife reserves and undertaking practical conservation tasks; influencing and campaigning for better wildlife-related policy and action; and inspiring people to enjoy and find out more about wildlife through our education and engagement programmes.

• SCOTTY

  “Scottish charities operating together” is a consortium of six charities working in Scotland to help people and the environment. It includes Scottish Native Woods, who are dedicated to the restoration and expansion of native woodland.

• Woodland Trust

  

  We want to see a country rich in native woods and trees enjoyed and valued by everyone. We aim to work with others to plant more native trees, protect native woods, tress and their wildlife for the future and inspire everyone to enjoy and value woods and trees.

  WWF’s mission is to stop the degradation of the planet’s natural environment and build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature. We do this by conserving the world’s biological diversity, ensuring that the use of renewable resources is sustainable, and promoting the reduction of pollution and wasteful consumption.

• Yorkshire Charities Group

  

  Yorkshire Charities Group is a joint venture between six Yorkshire based registered charities, including BTCV who aim to create a better environment where people are valued, included and involved.
